Several consortia, managed by Prof. Dr. Chantal Mathieu, focus on uncovering the immunological roots of type 1 diabetes. Their efforts aim to identify biomarkers for early detection and better understand the immune processes driving disease progression. The consortia are also dedicated to implementing screening programs to detect individuals in the early stages of type 1 diabetes, enabling timely interventions and improved outcomes.
