Project Summary

INNODIA HARVEST is an EU-funded initiative that builds on the foundations of the INNODIA consortium to develop innovative strategies for preventing or halting type 1 diabetes. The project brings together a large network of experts to conduct intervention trials that:

  • Study mechanisms of type 1 diabetes, including beta-cell destruction and immune pathways.
  • Identify biomarkers linked to disease development and progression.
  • Test beta-cell- and immune-focused interventions, aiming to generate knowledge for future combination therapies.
  • Create discovery pipelines for next-generation type 1 diabetes therapeutics.

Central to the project is the active involvement of people living with type 1 diabetes, ensuring that research and clinical trials are patient-centered and deliver outcomes with real-life impact.
