The fund champions both fundamental research into the origins of type 1 diabetes and preclinical studies aimed at developing new therapeutic interventions. Beyond research, it will play a crucial role in raising awareness about type 1 diabetes, ensuring this often overlooked condition receives the recognition and attention it deserves.
The fund will be managed by Chantal Mathieu, alongside Kristina Casteels and Pieter Gillard.
