Hippo & Friends launches GO BLEU (GA VOOR BLAUW) campaign for world diabetes day 2025

At the Leuven Diabetes Lab, our Blue Army stands strong with everyone affected by type 1 diabetes, from those living with type 1 diabetes to their families, teachers, friends, and carers. Our community also includes dedicated scientists, educators, nurses, volunteers, partners, and donors, all committed to one shared goal: defeating type 1 diabetes. Every day, we work together for a future free from type 1 diabetes, and we won’t stop until that day comes.

In celebration of World Diabetes Day (Friday, 14 November 2025), the Hippo & Friends team invites schools and workplaces across Flanders to make a colorful impact for the type 1 diabetes community by GOING BLUE (www.gavoorblauw.be). Show your support by

  • Decorating your school or office in blue
