The INNODIA DETECT program is gaining momentum, with Leuven actively recruiting and many more sites preparing to launch across Europe. INNODIA DETECT Programme

With 15 participants already enrolled, the Leuven site is actively recruiting individuals with a family connection to type 1 diabetes to take part in this early detection initiative. The goal? To identify those at risk before symptoms appear, and to open the door to prevention and early intervention. But Leuven is just the beginning.

🔹 9 pilot sites across Europe are currently in the process of activation.

🔹 A major expansion is planned for September, with 28 sites launching in France (excluding Paris, a pilot site) and 19 sites launching in Italy (excluding Milan, a pilot site).

🔹 By the end of 2025, 50 sites are expected to be up and running!

Early T1D Navigator Tool

To support this growing network, INNODIA will launch the Early T1D Navigator Tool at EASD 2025 in Vienna. This public online platform will help individuals across Europe locate clinical sites offering screening and/or monitoring for early-stage type 1 diabetes, including both INNODIA DETECT sites and others outside the programme.

🔹All INNODIA clinical sites will be automatically included.

🔹External sites can register via the INNODIA website.

Together, these initiatives aim to make early-stage type 1 diabetes screening more accessible and visible across Europe, helping families find opportunities to participate and supporting research that brings us closer to prevention.
