Carpe Diem Catering Establishes Diabetes Research Fund

Jan Wirix, owner of Carpe Diem catering, established a fund to support diabetes research at the Leuven Diabetes Lab.

A portion of the profits from the company’s university catering assignments will be donated to the fund, which specifically supports Dr. Chantal Mathieu’s research team that focuses on understanding the function and destruction of insulin-producing cells and investigating the role of vitamin D in type 1 diabetes.
